Abs & Arms 45
Abs & Arms 45 combines upper-body resistance with core work to build arm, shoulder, back, and abdominal strength through pressing, pulling, and rotational movements.

Full Body Pro 50

New to Lagree? Here's What Your First Class Looks Like
A step-by-step experience designed to remove intimidation, maximise results, and make every session feel purposeful.
Arrive at a 4th Floor Studio, Not a Basement Gym
Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your first class to complete a brief waiver, meet your instructor, and get familiar with the Megaformer. Instructors will show you how to adjust springs and explain the basic movements before class begins.
Springs Are Adjusted for Your Level
Lagree uses spring resistance that adjusts for every fitness level, from complete beginners to advanced athletes. Your instructor will guide you on spring selection for each exercise, ensuring movements are challenging but achievable.
Slow, Controlled Movements — Intensity Builds Quickly
Movements operate at a four-count tempo in both directions, keeping muscles under continuous tension. The pace feels slow compared to traditional fitness classes, but muscular fatigue arrives fast.
Form Correction Throughout the Class
Instructors provide real-time form correction to ensure you are working the intended muscle groups safely and effectively. Proper form maximizes results and prevents injury, especially important when learning a new movement system.
Soreness Is Normal, Recovery Matters
Expect delayed-onset muscle soreness (DOMS) for 24 to 48 hours after your first session, especially if you are new to resistance training. This is a normal response to unfamiliar muscle engagement and will decrease as your body adapts.
Start with two to three classes per week to allow recovery between sessions. Overtraining undermines results, rest is when muscles rebuild stronger. During this time your body will continue to burn calories in what we call the "Afterburn effect"

BST has made me really fall in love with Lagree. The mind to muscle engagement is elite but you don’t feel exhausted or like you’ve totally overdone it with a HIIT workout.

Common Questions About Lagree, Reformer Pilates, and Training at BST
Does BST Lagree Offer Reformer Pilates Classes?
BST does not offer reformer pilates. We offer Lagree, a distinct method that evolved from Pilates but operates on a different machine (the Megaformer) and is designed specifically for high-intensity, low-impact fitness training.
What Is the Difference Between Megaformer and Reformer?
Both machines use spring resistance and a sliding carriage. The Megaformer adds a back platform that the reformer does not have, which allows you to work against the springs from a much wider range of positions.
Is Lagree Harder Than Reformer Pilates?
Yes, Lagree is harder than reformer Pilates, because it was designed to be a workout. Lagree is both strength training and a cardio using low impact exercises on the Megaformer.
How Many Lagree Studios Are There in Islington?
Yes, you’ll receive an official Lagree certification that is recognized by studios and training centres worldwide.
Is There a Trial Option for First-Timers?
Yes. Intro trial packs are available online at a reduced rate, allowing you to experience multiple classes before committing to a membership. Trial packs give you enough sessions to feel the intensity and see early results.
Is Lagree Suitable for Beginners?
Yes. Springs and Body positioning and alignment are adjusted for every fitness level, from complete beginners to advanced athletes. First-timers train in the same class as experienced members, with instructors providing real-time form correction and resistance guidance.
How Quickly Will I See Results From Lagree?
Most members see visible tone and improved muscle definition within four to six weeks of consistent training at three to four sessions per week. Core strength and movement control improve within two to three sessions.
What Should I Bring to My First Lagree Class?
Bring water, and grip socks. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene and are available for purchase at the studio if needed.
